Export financing

Factoring

Factoring (discounting deferred payment)

Factoring represents the sale of outstanding receivables related to export of goods by the Slovenian exporter to NLB. The seller of the receivables thus transfers the risk of default on contractual obligations arising from non-payment by the buyer to NLB. The seller of the receivables is paid discounted value of the receivables, arising either from a letter of credit, guarantee or bill. Factoring is possible without recourse. The advantages enjoyed by an exporter due to such financing are immediate payment after export and no exposure to risks arising from the deal after factoring.

Factoring (supplier loan)

Factoring refers to financing of a deal by purchase of outstanding receivables arising from supplier loan granted by a Slovenian company to its buyer, with the principal and pertaining interest secured by a bank guarantee acceptable for NLB. Based on submitted export documents a Slovenian company immediately after export receives the funds, reduced by fees and pertaining interest. The amount of the approved loan and pertaining interest is paid by the importer directly to our account. The seller of the receivables thus transfers the risk of default on contractual obligations arising from non-payment by the buyer to NLB. Factoring of a receivable arising from supplier loan is possible without recourse right of the seller of the receivable. The advantages enjoyed by an exporter due to such financing are immediate payment after export and no exposure to risks arising from the deal.
