The significance of the works and the importance of the artists reveal above all the accomplishments of Slovenian modern art. Since the founding of NLB, we have been keenly aware of the importance of the cultural environment where we work and interact with our colleagues and customers. This is reflected in the ongoing art exhibitions that we stage, and the manner in which we continue to support the activities of visual and other creative artists. These exhibitions are held regularly in the lobby of our Head Office as well as at selected branches and agencies around Slovenia.

Of equal importance to us is the preservation of our recent historical heritage and contemporary production in the field of visual arts. This cultural focus serves to associate NLB closely with the work of art museums and galleries across the country.
By establishing the NLB Art Collection some three years ago we have decided to systematically support local artists and invest in their major works. We believe that it is extremely important to offer support and livelihood to our artists through the material recognition of their most creative endeavours.
