Slovenian painting after 1945 from the NLB Art Collection in Brussels

Description: Exhibition of artworks by Slovenian artists after 1945 systematically collected by the NLB in its Art Collection and presented to the public in and outside Slovenia. At the time Slovenia was presiding over the European Union, the NLB followed the initiative of the Slovenian Embassy in Brussels to present its Art Collection in cooperation with the organisations "Service Culture de la Ville de Bruxelles" and "Asbl Bruxelles-Musées-Expositions" on the exhibition premises of the Brussels Town Hall (I'Hôtel de Ville de Bruxelles, Grand-Place).

Description: Selected paintings, graphics, sculptures and statues from the NLB Art Collection were presented at two exhibitions in Gorizia – the Country Museums and the Lojze Bratuž Cultural Centre. The exhibited artworks represented the milestones in the development of Slovenian fine arts in the second half of the previous century.
