NLB in discussions with MIGA for obtaining additional guarantees for optimizing its capital on consolidated basis

In accordance with the Ljubljana Stock Exchange Rules, Article 17 of Regulation (EU) No. 596/2014 and Article 130 of Market in Financial Instruments Act, Nova Ljubljanska banka d.d., Ljubljana (hereinafter: “NLB d.d.”) informs the public that with the aim of capital optimisation on consolidated basis, it is in discussions with Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency (hereinafter: “MIGA”; part of the World Bank Group) on entering into contracts of guarantee relating to five of NLB Group banking members.

The guarantee agreements are envisaged to be concluded between NLB d.d. and MIGA for each individual banking member. The transactions which are scheduled to be carried out later this year could reduce the risk weighted assets of NLB d.d. on consolidated level up to EUR 108 million. The potential implementation of transactions will further commit NLB Group to enhance the management of environmental and social risks of its operations and the commitment to sustainability.
