112.8 Million Syndicated Loan for Unior - NLB as Organiser and Agent
Yesterday, 19 December, Unior signed a 112.8 million long-term syndicated loan agreement with six Slovenian banks. This is one of the biggest syndicated loans in Slovenia. According to the CEO Darko Hrastnik this loan is an important element in the story of their refinancing and it will also bear significant implications for further growth of their company because they would like to remain a top player in steel processing as well as tourism. Yesterday’s contract signing ceremony was a successful closing of several months of hard work of the consortium of six banks, in which NLB played the role of organiser and agent.
The consortium of banks that provided Unior with a 112.8 million syndicated loan consists of: Nova Ljubljanske banke d.d. as its organiser and agent, Abanka d.d., Nova KBM d.d., Gorenjska banka d.d., Banka Koper d.d. and Sberbank banka d.d.
Signing the contract Darko Hrastnik, CEO of Unior, said: Refinancing was done on the basis of company’s higher credit rating over the last few years and only with the banks that were invited and willing to participate. In the eyes of our buyers, suppliers and other stakeholders signing such financing is perceived as an even higher credit rating and primarily an assurance that we can focus on further progress and enhancements, since they are the only opportunity for the company to survive and continue to develop in a very complex market flooded with products and services.
