Support for the professional athletes and sports for the young promotion
We support top Slovenian athletes as well as young promising athletes at the regional level.
Top Slovenian athletes are the greatest ambassadors of Slovenia in the world. We have been the golden sponsor of the Slovenian alpine skiing national team for more than 20 years and in the recent years also a major sponsor of the Slovenian football team, the Slovenian Handball Association, the Table Tennis Association and the Sailing Association.
We pay special attention to youth sports. With this NLB Sports initiative, we wish to strengthen our long-term socially responsible initiative, encouraging young recreational athletes in all Slovenian regions to exercise and lead a healthy life. We do this in cooperation with the local sports clubs. This initiative supports fair play education, promotes responsible behaviour, and emphasizes the importance of recreation in general. At the same time, we wish to encourage young people, who live more or less in a virtual world nowadays, to go back to nature and to engage in sports.
Since 2009 we have been cooperating with the Association of Paraplegics of Slovenia and supporting the NLB Wheel league.
In 2019 we financially supported

On 6 September we brought around 2000 supporters, including sports clubs supported in the framework of the NLB Youth Sports, to Stožice in Ljubljana in cooperation with the Slovenian Football Association.
